Biography
Fresh back from Nashville, Tennessee where Esther and her new band ‘Ashton Lane’ have been stateside gigging and getting the gears in motion for the release of her 3rd album in 2011. Esther and the guys have been buried away deep in the recording studio for the last few months writing and recording and the sound of this new material has emerged somewhere between modern country and the great west coast singer-songwriter pop music of the 60′s and 70′s.
Described as ‘‘David Geffen crossed with Stevie Nicks’’ by the UK’s Sunday Times newspaper, Esther has to date released 2 solo albums on her own record label to outstanding critical acclaim and support on BBC Radio 2 and on regional radio nationwide.
Esther’s past festival appearances include; T in the Park, V Festival, Celtic Connections, Big in Falkirk and Free-at-the-Dee, plus many more. With a fantastic line up of musicians and armed with brand new songs, ‘Ashton Lane’ will be showcasing this new material internationally in the coming weeks.
Her live performances have been hailed by the critics as ”Sublime” and ”Spine-tingling” (The List), ”A Real Rock and Roll Princess” (The Sunday Mail) and possessing ”A voice rich in depth and emotion” (The Buteman).
Radio stations nationwide have also been captivated by Esther’s tuneful haunting songs and blown away by her stunning live radio & TV performances.
